
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutch Rec and the Hutchinson Healthy Neighborhoods Initiative announced the upcoming meetings for its featured neighborhoods. These annual meetings give neighborhood residents a chance to review 2022 and determine priorities for the year ahead.

Neighborhood Annual Meeting dates include:
- Farmington Park: Jan. 17 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church
- Creekside: Feb. 7 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Hutchinson Public Library Auditorium
- Midtown: Feb. 7 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Hutchinson Public Library Auditorium
- SW Bricktown: Feb. 14 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Avenue A School
- Grace Arbor: Feb. 21 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Hutchinson Public Library Auditorium
- College Grove: Feb. 21 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Hutchinson Public Library Auditorium
In addition, the seventh and newest featured neighborhood in southeast Hutchinson will hold a special meeting to select a name on Jan. 24 at 5:30 p.m. at The Zone, 805 E. Ave. B. Residents living within the neighborhood boundaries are eligible to cast a vote. Boundaries include: Between East Avenue D and the railroad right-of-way between 1st and 3rd avenues, from the Ken Kennedy Freeway to Walnut Street. During their Dec. 13 meeting, residents chose two finalists for their neighborhood name: “The Founders Neighborhood” and “Southeast Oldtown Neighborhood.”
