The Hutchinson Fire Department would like to thank the blood donors of Reno County for coming out and help save lives during the January Blood drive.
Every year HFD and HPD compete in the Battle of the Badges blood drive. It is a long standing tradition in Reno county, and this year HFD won and retained the trophy for a third straight year. Police and Fire get out to drum up donors and votes from Reno county for the weeks leading up to the blood drive. Reno County fell just short of the goal for this drive but it was still a success as other blood drives have been cancelled to to bad weather.
The Red Cross holds blood drives every 56-60 days across the area so we encourage everyone to make an appointment on the website or through the blood app, and save some lives.
