HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County Historical Society announced Thursday that Strataca will require face masks for all guests that ride the hoist starting Friday.
The hoist is the only location that the museum cannot abide by any social distancing guidelines. Because of this, everyone must wear a face mask for the 90-second ride going from topside to underground and vice versa. The museum also strongly recommends that guests wear their mask throughout the experience, but it is not required where social distancing is provided.
Officials with Strataca say they appreciate the public understanding and look forward to serving guests.
