Ina Mae Harper, 85, of Hutchinson, died November 15, 2021, at Hospice House. She was born December 3, 1935, in Hutchinson, to Albert and Phebe (James) Gibson.

Ina graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1953. She began her career in the medical field as a nurse’s assistant and retired as a coder in the medical records department at the Medical Center. Ina enjoyed collecting miniatures and was a member of Hutchinson Miniatures Club. She also enjoyed spending time at the Delos V. Smith Senior Center where she took classes in woodcarving and was in the book club. Ina was a member of First Church of God, Hutchinson.

In 1954, she married Raymond B. Harper Jr., in Hutchinson. He died March 9, 2021.

Ina is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Drouhard (Terry) and Susie George (Terry), both of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Matthew Drouhard (Lindsay), Anne Beck (Tanner), and Tanner George (Chloe); great-grandchildren, Regan and Truitt Beck, Jackson, Nolan and Silas Drouhard; sister, Mary Newton of Hutchinson; brother, Robert Gibson (Shirley) of Des Moines, IA; sisters-in-law, Cookie Miller of Pennsylvania and Linda Lovelace of California; and many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Ray; siblings, Marie Rodgers, Phebe Jennings, Sophia Baize, Sue Hughes, Fern Stoughton, Gene Gibson, Frank Gibson, and George Gibson.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life service for both Ina and Ray will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2021, at First Church of God, 704 N. Jefferson, in Hutchinson, with Pastor Tim Kraft officiating.
