The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for from midnight to 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected.
Plan on slushy roadways with some slick spots. The hazardous conditions could impact the early morning commute.
Most of the snow accumulation will occur on grassy surfaces with snow expected to melt off during the afternoon. Besides the snowfall, sub-freezing temperatures are expected late Monday night and early Tuesday morning, which could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
Slow down and use caution while traveling.
