
The City of Hutchinson and the Boys & Girls Club of Hutchinson are inviting the public to celebrate the grand opening of the new Shadduck Park Ninja Course with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, October 7, at 4:30 p.m. at Shadduck Park, 600 W. 2nd Avenue.
The event marks the completion of one of the city’s most exciting new recreational additions, offering residents of all ages a chance to experience a fitness course inspired by the popular “American Ninja Warrior” television series.
The celebration will feature a special appearance and live demonstration by professional American Ninja Warrior athlete Adam Rayl, followed by an opportunity for community members to try out the new equipment themselves.
The program will begin with remarks from:
• Lance Patterson, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of HutchinsonA teen representative from the Boys & Girls Club
• Justin Combs, City of Hutchinson Director of Parks and Facilities
• Mayor Stacy Goss, City of Hutchinson
Following the speakers, Boys & Girls Club teens will lead the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Rayl will then showcase his skills in a live ninja course demonstration before the course is officially opened for public use.
Adam Rayl is a seven-season competitor on NBC’s hit show American Ninja Warrior and is widely regarded as one of the sport’s most accomplished athletes. He has earned two World Championships, one International Championship, and multiple speed-racing titles, making him one of the most decorated competitors in ninja athletics.
Recently, Rayl has taken his talents to the global stage, competing in 100-meter Obstacle Course Races in Croatia, Dubai, and Manila. His personal motto, “Be Rock Solid,” reflects his commitment to perseverance, physical fitness, and inspiring others to achieve their best.
The Shadduck Park Ninja Course represents a collaborative effort between the City of Hutchinson, the Boys & Girls Club of Hutchinson, and numerous community partners. City officials say the new attraction is designed to promote active lifestyles, outdoor recreation, and youth engagement.
