
Wayne Scott Schoenecker, 24, died Sunday, September 6, 2020. He was born April 12, 1996, in Wichita, to Scott Wade and Amy Jolene (Martin) Schoenecker.
He was a 2014 graduate of Fairfield High School, attended Sterling College, and in 2019, graduated from Hutchinson Community College, with a Building Trades certificate. Wayne coached football, basketball, and tennis, at Fairfield High School, and was a laborer at Engellend Construction. His passion was playing softball, wherever it took him.
Wayne is survived by: his father, Scott Schoenecker and wife Andrea; mother, Amy Allbright and husband Rick; brother, Eric Schoenecker and wife Jordon; sister, Hannah Schoenecker; stepbrother, Dylan Allbright all of Arlington; stepsister, Amber Allbright, of Hutchinson; grandmother, Carolyn Marsh of Arlington; grandparents, Henry and Charlotte Hall, Jr.; great-grandparents, Henry and Naomi Hall, Sr., all of Sylvia; aunts, Sammie Nickell, Becky Burns, Angela Schaefer, and families; uncles, Shannon Schoenecker and David Hall, and families.
He was preceded in death by: sister, Christina ‘Tina’ Schoenecker; grandfathers, Wayne Schoenecker, Bill Banker, David Marsh, and Kip Martin; and, grandma, Sharon Hall; uncle, Daniel Hall.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Arlington Community Center, 900 W. Main, Arlington, with Pastors Bob Pankratz and Steve Gill presiding. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery. Visitation, with family present, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2020, also at the Center.
