⚾ 2 Royals prospects to play in All-Star Futures Game

ARLINGTON, Tex. — Minor League Baseball revealed its rosters for the upcoming All-Star Futures Game, which will be played on Saturday, July 13 at Globe Life Field.

The game features the top Minor League prospects in baseball competing in a seven-inning contest.

The Kansas City Royals will have two prospects playing in the game for the American League Team. Right handed pitcher Ben Kudrna and outfielder Gavin Cross will each represent the Royals.

According to MLB.com, Kudrna is the No. 3 best prospect in the Royals organization. The Shawnee Mission native is currently in High-A, Quad Cities. The 6-foot-3 Kudrna is currently 4-4 with a 3.14 ERA in 12 appearances.

Cross is the No. 7 best prospect in the Royals system and is currently in Double-A, Northwest Arkansas. Cross is hitting .279 with eight home runs and 39 RBI in 62 games.
