Chamber holding Art and Essay contest for sesquicentennial celebration

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce introduced the ‘Why I Love Reno County’ Art and Essay Contest this week as an additional way to celebrate the 150th anniversaries of Hutchinson and Reno County. All Reno County students K-12 are encouraged to express in art or writing what makes Reno County special to them.

Submissions are due to the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber office at 117 N Walnut or online at hutchchamber.com/whyiloverenocounty no later than 5 p.m. on September 23, 2022. Artwork must be hand delivered to the Chamber office.

Three finalists from each grade level will be chosen and recognized with certificates. Out of the 36 finalists, three winners will be awarded a grand prize package and a monetary donation to their classroom at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting on October 27, 2022.
