Timothy Dale Swansen |1959-2022|

Timothy Dale Swansen, 62, passed away February 26, 2022, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.  He was born July 21, 1959, in Hutchinson, to Clyde and Barbara (Starks) Swansen.

Tim attended school in Hutchinson, and served in the United States Army for three years.  He worked at various jobs, including Carl’s Furniture Store, Hutchinson, and he was the very best ‘spook’ at the Kansas State Fair’s Old Mill. 

Tim was known for his compassion for anyone in need of a place to stay.  His hobbies included repairing and building computers from assorted parts.

Tim is survived by:  Carmen Maxfield of Hutchinson, the ‘love of his life’ for 25 years; father, Clyde Swansen of Sterling; mother and stepfather, Barbara (John) Hanson of Hutchinson; brother, John Swansen of Hutchinson; sisters, Dana (Tim) Miles of Sulphur Rock, AR, Javette (Missy) Crowe of Hutchinson, Kim Swansen of Goddard, and Karen Swansen McDade of Hutchinson; sister-in-law, Vickie Crowe of Hutchinson; brother-in-law, Randy Branton of Hutchinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by:  his stepmother, Mary Frances Swansen; and brothers, Douglas Swansen, Mitchell ‘Skip’ Crowe, and Andrew Massey Crowe.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary, with the Reverend Kent H. Little officiating.  Military honors will be conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard.  Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary.
