On January 12, 2022, Kent K. Jantz died at his home in rural Walton, surrounded by his family after courageously battling advanced prostate cancer since 2018.
He was 68 years old. Kent is survived by his wife Rosie (Beachey) Jantz of 45 years and children; Jason (Anna) Jantz of Lawrence; Troy (Sara) Jantz of Hesston; and grandchildren Hudson and Harrison Jantz of Hesston. Kent was preceded in death by his parents Milferd and Irene (Schmidt) Jantz of Walton.
Kent was born on December 19th 1953 in Newton, the only child of Milferd and Irene. He graduated from Hesston High School in 1971.
Kent was a skilled worker. He owned a service station in Hesston for a time, he worked as a mechanic, millwright, welder, and was a lifelong farmer. He was a loving husband, father and a proud grandfather.
A celebration of life service will be held at Tabor Mennonite Church on Saturday January 22nd at 2pm.
