
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Graciela Medina, a junior at Hutchinson High School, was named the 2025 Hutchinson Boys and Girls Club Youth of the Year at their banquet Thursday night.
Being named Youth of the Year is the highest honor a Boys & Girls Club member can receive.
Medina gains a $1,000 scholarship for the win, thanks to Heartland Credit Union.
The candidates this year included Medina, Gabriel Marcum, Taysha Rideaux and Camrynn Harris. The runners-up receive $250 scholarships.
After 12 incredible years as a Boys & Girls Club member, Graciela has earned this honor for her leadership, dedication to equality, and ability to inspire others.
She’ll proudly represent Hutchinson at the Kansas Youth of the Year competition in the spring.
The 2023 and 2024 winner in Hutchinson, Zion Burgess, also won the state title in 2024.
