Senior K.A. Johnson, earning at Big 12 Newcomer of the Week honors for the first time this season after averaging a near 20 and 10 double-double and helping K-State to a pair of wins over KU and Texas Tech.

In 50 appearances between Wichita and triple-A Saint Paul in 2022, Sisk, who's 25, went five and one with a 1.57 era and 76 strikeouts. Cruz, 23 six foot six, recorded four, saves 72 strikeouts and a career high, 56 innings across 46 appearances at Double-A, Wichita. Taylor will turn 32 before opening day. He has hit 249 with 21 home runs in two seasons for Kansas City. 

Chiefs have waived defensive back Chris Lemons, a key special team contributor from their active roster. That means that either Jody Fortson or running back Clyde Edwards-Hilair, a player who have been on the injured reserve list, could be one of those activated for the AFC Championship game this Sunday.

Yesterday, two games it was Cincinnati beating Buffalo 27 to 10 and the late game the San Francisco 49'ers beat the Cowboys 19 to 12, so it sets up the AFC and NFC Championship games this coming Sunday. 

The first game will be San Francisco at Philadelphia, 2:00 on Fox and then Cincinnati and Kansas City at 5:30 on CBS. Our coverage of both games will begin at 1pm on the Westwood One Radio Network. As once the Chiefs make the AFC Championship game, we are no longer provided their audio from Mitch and company. 

NFL rules the fifth year in a row the Chiefs have made the AFC Championship game in the fifth year in a row that we're not able to provide their broadcast audio. 

Another Chiefs Kingdom show tonight with Mitch and the guys from 7 to 8 here on BW. Kansas City will be the first team in NFL history to host those five straight AFC championship games when they face the Bengals Sunday.

 Limited number of tickets for the matchup go on sale to the public at 11:00 today. Jackson County taxpayers will have a pre-sale opportunity to purchase single game AFC championship tickets from 8 to 9:30 am. Season ticket holders will have the opportunity at 10:00.

 HutchCC men's basketball team forced 27 Thunderbird turnovers and pulled away from a game that was tied with 50 seconds to go. To beat cloud 88-82. Hutchinson Men improved to 13 and 6 overall 7 and 6 in Jayhawk play.

 They'll next host Pratt at 7:30 Wednesday at the arena. As leading the way Aaron Franklin he had 19 Jayfon Garrison chipped in 18. Sophomore Ra'saun Frederick had 13 points.

 Sophomore Mia Williams became the sixth HutchCC women's basketball player to reach the 1,000 career point mark Sunday as the Dragons have won six straight.

 Williams scored a game high 23 to lead the Hutchinson women to a 75-66 win. They're now 16 and 4. Freshman Journey Armstead had 17 boards and 4 assists. 

We'll have another Dragon talk tonight from AJ's at the Alley talking about those wins. John Ontjes 6 to 6:30pm. Tommy DeSalme 6:30 to 7pm. 

The Shockers get a win on the road in Dallas as they beat SMU. Jaquan Walton had 18 points. Wichita State moves to 10-9, 3 and 4 in conference play. 

James Rojas, the former Blue Dragon, a double double, 12 points, 10 rebounds. Congrats to him. 

KU looks to break a two game losing streak. They're on the road at Baylor. It doesn't get any easier. The Jayhawks have to figure out how to get scoring elsewhere other than Jalen Wilson. Game time 8:00 on ESPN. 

Well, it was the 21st time the Hutchinson Salt Hawks played in the Dodge City Tournament of Champions over their 80 year history. And when the dust settled Saturday night, Hutchinson outlasted Maize South, winning 67-56, and they won the tournament for only the third time in school history. The last two times happened back in the eighties, in 1982 and 1986. Hutchinson 11-0 travels to 8-3&nbsp; Derby for a game tomorrow. A stand alone game because the girls will be playing in a tournament coming up Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Later this week.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Elsewhere Berean Academy one over Fairfield 43-42 Inman beat Central Christian 61-14 Salina Central over Butler 66-43 and Kingman a winner over Trinity Catholic 64-63 in overtime.

 Chiefs were one of five teams announced for international games during the NFL's 2023 regular season. The Chiefs and Patriots will play in Germany. Their opponents dates and times will be released with the full NFL schedule later this year. The Bills, Titans and Jaguars will play in London. Andy Reid saying he's looking forward to a bratwurst. Imagine that. 

Former&nbsp;Maize High quarterback and future K-State Wildcat Avery Johnson has announced his first major NIL deal. Johnson revealed that he has an agreement with Robbins Motor Company, which is a car dealership with locations in Manhattan, Junction City, Topeka, the Flint Hills and surrounding areas in central Kansas. Johnson has a NIL valuation of 237,000, which is the 27th best valuation among high school football players in the 2023 class. 

Seven time&nbsp;All-Star Aroldis Chapman headed to the Royals. MLB.com reports that Chapman and the Royals agreed to terms on a one year $3.75 million contract. Left handed reliever was foreign for nine saves in ERA a 4.46 in 43 relief appearances last year, with New York.

The Blue Dragon men rebounded from Saturday's loss in a big way, getting a one 115 to 94 conference victory over Independence last night. Dragons improved to 13 and 6 overall 7 and 6 in Jayhawk conference play. The Dragons hit 17 three pointers. Aaron Franklin led the Dragons with 20.&nbsp; Aaron Potter matched a season high with 15. Jaden Garrison 15. KB Bundy had 12. Congrats to Tommy Dawson and the Hutchinson men. A big win in Independence last night. 

HutchCC women's basketball team extended their winning streak to five and get a convincing win over Independence last night as sophomore Mia Williams put together her second straight 28 point performance. And Hutchinson wins 82-58. They had a 29 point halftime lead. Dragons improved to 15 and 4. The ladies are 9 and 4 in Jayhawk conference play. Freshman Monet Duffy had her third straight double double with 14 points 11 boards. Freshman Jurnee Armstead had 14. 

Tonight on the TV screen. It'll be 9 and 8, Wichita State's at 13 and 5. Memphis tipoff, 6:00 on ESPNU. 

This afternoon, we have high school basketball here on BW Radio Sports as a lot of area teams will be in action today. Hutchinson will play and Dodge City as they are the 1 seed in the Dodge City Tournament of Champions. They'll play Newton at 2:00. Our pregame starts at 1:45 sharp here this afternoon. 

Chiefs wide receiver  Necole HERDMAN is the only member of the 53 man roster not practicing as the team begin working on its game plan for the Jaguars. Andy Reid said that defensive end Frank Clark is progressing well, as is wide receiver Sky Moore, who could be seen practicing. Should be good to go. Reid also confirmed that running back Clyde Edwards-helaire and tight end Jodie Fortson would also take the field this week, meaning the Chiefs have officially designated  them for return from injured reserve. The Chiefs will play host Jacksonville Saturday at 3:30. Our pre-game will start here at 2 pm on BW Radio Sports. 

Also  announced yesterday, Field at Arrowhead saying that rapper Lil Jon will be performing at halftime of the AFC divisional playoff game between the Jags and the Chiefs. Another

A big win in Independence last night. </p><p>HutchCC women's basketball team extended their winning streak to five and get a convincing win over Independence last night as sophomore Mia Williams put together her second straight 28 point performance. Reid also confirmed that running back Clyde Edwards-helaire and tight end Jodie Fortson would also take the field this week, meaning the Chiefs have officially designated  them for return from injured reserve. Dallas beat Brady for the first time in the seven time Super Bowl Champions career. Cowboys earn a trip to San Francisco to take on the 49'ers in the NFC divisional round at next Sunday. 

Jim Harbaugh is staying at Michigan, a decision he personally gave the school president on Monday to end another round of speculation he would return to the NFL. Harbaugh and the school have not reached an agreement on a contract extension. Both sides plan to work on the new deal this week. 

Kansas sophomore K.J. Adams has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week by a vote of a media panel who covers that league. He leads Kansas shooting 65% from the field. Averages almost 11 points and 4.5 rebounds a game. But since a big 12 play started, he's averaging 16 points a game. 

Jaquan  Walton, second half scoring surge left in Wichita State to a big comeback win over Tulsa on Saturday. And that has earned the junior a spot on this week's American Athletic Conference Honor roll.&nbsp; The 6' 7"guard from Georgia. Averaging 12 points and a team best six rebounds. Shockers have road games this week at Memphis Thursday and SMU on Sunday.

It was the Cincinnati Bengals holding on to beat the Baltimore Ravens 24 to 17. Tonight, Dallas at Tampa. That will wrap up our first round of playoff games, 7:15 pm on ESPN. 

Chiefs Kingdome show  comes your way tonight from 7 to 8:00 on BW Radio Sports the Chiefs will talk about their matchup with now Jacksonville. That game has been set for a 3:30 kick off on NBC this coming Saturday. 

The  Georgia Bulldogs made a tragic announcement this weekend. Let's get the latest from CBS. 

"The University of Georgia  made several posts on social media announcing offensive lineman Devin Willock and recruiting staff member Chandler Lacroix were killed in a car wreck. It happened just hours after the Bulldogs celebrated their second straight national championship with a parade and ceremony at Sanford Stadium. 

Two other members of the football program were also injured in the crash. They weren't identified, but the school says they're in stable condition. 

Police say their car hit two power poles and several trees after running off the road early Sunday. 

KU Football team secured two pivotal verbal transfer commitments over the weekend. LSU defensive back Demaryius McGee announcing his commitment via Instagram. 

The former four star recruit from Pensacola, Florida, spent two seasons at LSU and would have three seasons of eligibility remaining. KU's other weekend commitment on Sunday was from former Utah State linebacker Patrick Joyner Jr. Like McGee, he made the announcement via social media. He played two seasons with the Aggies, has one  year eligibility remaining.

Wyatt Thompson, who's in the midst of his 21st season as Voice of the Wildcats, has been named the 2022 Kansas sportscaster of the year for the seventh time  in his career. Following an announcement by the National Sports Media Association.&nbsp; He'll be honored in June in North Carolina.  

The National  Baseball Congress announcing yesterday that the entirety of the NBC World Series will be played at Wichita State's stadium in the summer of 2023 and 24. The tournament will be held this year from August 3rd through 12th. Last year, Stadium hosted the tournament along with Hobart-Detter in Hutchinson. Tournament has not been hosted at a single site since Lawrence Dumont stadiums last year in existence  2018. This will be the 89th annual version of that event.  

Wichita Wind surge has announced new lower prices for the 2023 season. If you bought higher priced tickets and plans, you'll get a credit. The news follows a controversy over the team adding an 8% fee ahead of the 2022 season. The Sedgwick County District Attorney's Office Consumer Protection Division issued a cease and desist letter, and the win surge ended the practice and gave the funds to charity. That did not go over well with a lot of folks here in this area. They've got to win back the trust now of the public.

Isaiah Pacheco and Blake Bell also scored for the Chiefs, who beat the Broncos for the 15th consecutive time while keeping alive their hopes for the AFC Number one seed and lone post-season by Kansas City began the day tied with Buffalo for the AFC West for the best  record. 

Patrick Mahomes also moved into the rarest of a company Sunday joining Tom Brady and Drew Brees as the only quarterbacks with multiple 5,000 yard passing seasons. With the years Mahomes has left, he's going to rewrite every record that has ever been in existence, with maybe the exception of Super Bowl wins by Tom Brady. We will see. 

Chiefs  Kingdome show comes your way tonight from 7pm until 8pm. 

Sunday Night Football it was Pittsburgh winning over Baltimore 16-13 and the Monday Night football match up Buffalo at Cincinnati. That is a game Chiefs fans will be watching because if Buffalo were to lose, Kansas City has the number one seed to themselves. That's a 7:15 kick off.

 It was not a good year for the big 12 in bowl action, with the exception of TCU as playing for a national championship. The Big 12 went 2 and 6, the only teams to win. Texas Tech and TCU.&nbsp; They punch their ticket to play Georgia now for the national championship game one week from today at Sofi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

 That is good news, at least for the Big 12. 

Kansas Shrine Bowl board of directors announcing the East and West teams for the 2023 Kansas Shrine Bowl yesterday. This year's Shrine Bowl will be played at Lewis Field Stadium at Forte State University on Saturday, July 15th at 7 pm. 2023 will mark the 50th year of the Shrine Bowl.

The Wichita State Shocker Women open up a play on Friday night at the Roundhouse. It's a 6 p.m. tip against Cincinnati. They come into conference play at 10 and 3. On the women's side according to go shockers dot com. The shocker women hold teams to a 36.1% shooting percentage third in the AFC, their second in rebound margin at plus 9.6 and lead the conference by grabbing 75.2% of available defensive rebounds. The Shockers commit 12 or fewer turnovers. They did so in their last three games. They won two of those easily, including their record setting win over South Carolina State 105 to 38. The top eight team coming in on the women's side is considered the bulls from South Florida. They're number 35 in the net rankings and on wins over Alabama, Texas and Arkansas. Wichita State is number 111. 

And the Kansas City Chiefs have already clinched the AFC West for the seventh straight year and are tied with Buffalo for the best record in the conference. Then there's the Denver Broncos, their opponent on Sunday. They mortgaged their future to acquire struggling Russell Wilson from Seattle and just fired coach Nathaniel Hackett. With two games left in his first season. 67 year old Jerry Rosberg will guide the Broncos through the next couple of weeks. 

Kansas City has beaten the Broncos 14 straight times. Of course, every game is huge for Kansas City as the Chiefs are tied with the bills for the AFC's best record. But Buffalo would get the number one seed in the lone first round bye because of its head to head win in October in Kansas City. 

So not only the Chiefs need to beat Denver and probably Las Vegas next week, they need the Bengals or Patriots to beat the Bills down the stretch. 

The Chiefs expect to have Michael Hardman back after his abdominal injury in week nine. He should be playing on Sunday.

In a thriller, Kansas quarterback Jalen Daniels set a bunch of single game in KU records, leading the Jayhawks back from that deficit to force overtime. It was 38-13 with 8:43 to play in the third before the Jayhawks forced a turnover. Recovered an onside kick and scored two touchdowns in the final 1:05 of regulation to tie the game at 38. 

Daniels became the first Kansas quarterback to ever top the 500 yard mark in both passing yards and total offense set the Liberty Bowl record for touchdown passes in matching the second most in school history for a single game with five. 

A reminder that after the first two overtimes, then it becomes everybody goes for two and either gets it or doesn't. Arkansas getting their third overtime, two point conversion to make it 55-53. KU then missed their third overtime, two point conversion for the two point loss.&nbsp; They dropped to 6 and 7 to close out the season. Arkansas ends at 7 and 6. 

Wichita State opened up conference play at UCF last night and really never got it going, losing 52 to 45.&nbsp; Walk-on Melvin Flannigan had the top night for the Shockers with just 11 points. 

Wichita State is 7 and 6 on the year after Craig Porter Jr was unable to play Wichita State shooting just 35% from the field. But they did guard pretty well and held their sixth straight opponent to under the 40% mark. Jaren Pierre Junior as three pointer got it to 46-45 at the 4:50 mark of the second half but they never could get the lead. UCF closed it out with six straight points to win 52-45. Wichita State's back in Wichita on Saturday.

The WSU Women recorded in a 105-38 win over South Carolina State in the final non-conference matchup of the season Tuesday night at the Roundhouse. Now 10 and 3 Wichita State's 67 point win marked the largest margin of victory in school history, beating a 1981 record versus Phillips. The Shockers fell two point shy in school record for most points in a game. 28 assists on 38 made field goals, 60% shooting from the field. You're going to win pretty much every game coming out if you shoot like that. And shooting lights out were the shocker women last night. 

Give me the Liberty Bowl and give me the Jayhawks. KU playing in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl today for the first time since the 2008 season. KU playing Arkansas 4:30 pm central is kick off time on ESPN. Both teams battling for a winning season in the rights to the Bell Trophy. 

The meeting between Kansas and Arkansas will be the third in their series history back to 1905. KU won both meetings in 1905 and 1906. This is the 13th bowl game in KU history. They are 6 and 6in bowl games. 

Of course, longtime HutchCC fans will know Arkansas coach Sam Pittman coached the Blue Dragons back in the nineties. 

The Wichita State Men begin conference play tonight as their AAC slate begins with a game against central Florida in Florida. It's a 6 pm central 7 pm eastern at tip.&nbsp; UCF, departing of course, for the Big 12, after this season the shocker men are 7 and 5 coming into tonight and posted a winning non-conference record for the 25th consecutive year but had a whole lot of close game problems. They were one in 3 in games decided by five points in either direction.

Diego Paiva threw for 167 yards and two touchdowns and New Mexico State held off a late rally by Bowling Green to win the Quick Lane Bowl 24 to 19 on Monday in Detroit. The Aggies were up 24 seven late in the third. The Falcons closed the gap in the fourth to make it 24-19 after a field goal as safety off a blocked punt and Camden North's 19 yard touchdown pass to Tyrone Brody with 6:27 left. But New Mexico State kept control the ball for the rest of the game to get the win. 

New Mexico State coach Jerry Kill, who briefly was, of course, at K-State as an assistant to Bill Snyder and played his college ball at Southwestern here in Kansas, won his first ever bowl game on Monday. 

Four bowl games on tap. Today we start out with Buffalo and Georgia, Southern. That from Montgomery, Alabama. Then Memphis and Utah State from Dallas, coastal Carolina and East Carolina in Birmingham, Alabama. And Oklahoma State. And Wisconsin in Phoenix. 

Purdue still number one, the AP top 25 men's basketball poll for a third straight week. North Carolina back in the pool at #25, the Boilermakers earning 40 and 60 of first place votes. UConn is a # 2. Houston, KU and Arizona rounded out the top five. 

Other Big 12 teams in the top 25. Texas is 6th. Baylor is 12th. TCU is 18th. West Virginia is 24th. Iowa State, Texas Tech and K-State all receiving votes. 

And the Wichita State women close out their non-conference schedule tonight at the Roundhouse as they face South Carolina State with a 6 p.m. tip. 

Wichita State suffered its first home loss of the season last Tuesday in a 61-56 setback to Wyoming. Shocker women come into tonight at 9 and 3 on the year. South Carolina state is 1 and 11.&nbsp; 

And the Denver Broncos have fired coach Nathaniel Hackett before their season even ends. Of course, the Broncos play the Chiefs at Arrowhead on New Year's Day.

Jalen Wilson scored 21 points as #4 Kansas beat Harvard 68-54 Thursday night at Allen Fieldhouse. The Jayhawks now 11-1, 14 for 20 from behind the ARC. No player besides Grady Dick hit one until Wilson made one with just over a minute remaining. Wilson scored 11 points in the final 6:24. Kevin McCullough had 14. Dick had 11 going 3 for 7 from distance. K.J. Adams Jr. had 10. Chris Ludlam had 17 for Harvard as they dropped to 8-5. 

Evan Nelson scored 10 at the Roundhouse in Wichita. Jaron Pierre Junior scored 8 of his game high 18 in the final 3:17 to help Wichita State put away upset minded Texas Southern 65-56 at Charles Kock Arena. James Rojas added 14 points. Jaquan Walton claimed his third double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds for the night with 7 and 5 shockers. Who lost starting point guard Craig Porter Jr. to an ankle injury near the 18 minute mark of the second half, but found just enough offense to stay afloat. Devon Barnes and Jordan Carl Nicholas did the bulk of the damage for Texas southern 3 and 9. They were the preseason favorite to win the SWAC. 

The Shockers led by 16 near the 12 minute mark but missed 12 of their next 13 shots and the Tigers got as close as three, with 327 to go before the Shockers put the game away. 

And the Kansas City Chiefs can't climb into first place in the AFC and secure that first round playoff bye with a win over Seattle on Saturday. Nor can the Seahawks slip into the postseason by knocking off the West division champs. But a loss for either of them might ruin both of their chances for those long term goals. The Chiefs tied with the bills at 11 and 3 for the conference's best record could be out of the hunt for the top seed if they lose on Saturday. Playoff hopes of the Seahawks are hanging by a thread.

For the Jayhawks side, they are going to be hosting a Harvard today as they'll have that game at 6:00 tonight. The contest from Allen Fieldhouse will be televised on ESPN. KU is 10 and 1, Harvard is 8 and 4. As for the KU women, the number 28 team in the land played the third triple overtime in program history Wednesday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska, falling to Nebraska 85-79. The loss is a first of the year for the Jayhawks. They are 10 and 1 at the conclusion of non-conference play. 

As for the K-State men, junior&nbsp;Nae'Qwan&nbsp;Tomlin led four Wildcats in double figures with a season high 26 as K-State won 73-65 over Radford on a Wednesday afternoon. They are 11 and 1 and have a five game winning streak. On the women's side, it was a full team effort for K-State as they won 77-46 over Morgan State on Wednesday. They're 11 and 2. This is the first time since 2008-2009 season that they've won 11 games before the beginning of conference play. 

An official signing day going on yesterday in Derby, running back Dylan Edwards signing with Colorado and new Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders. That was the first day of the early signing period. Also signing yesterday was Avery Johnson from Maize High. He committed to play at Kansas State University and held on to that commitment.

The Salthawk Girl's used full court pressure to force 26 campus turnovers in the first half alone. And they go on to win 59 to 14. In a rout, Lady Salthawks led 40 to 9 at the halfway point. 

Grace Posch led the way with 19, including 3, 3 point baskets. Josiah McLean chipped in 14, Libby Jackson had a career high with 11.

In the boy's game, the Salt Hawks jumped out to a 15 to 5 first quarter lead and never looked back as they led 35-16 at halftime. Hutchinson routs Campus 67-34 was the final. Senior Nic Lange led the Hawks with fourteen. Terrell King had ten. Both the Salthawk boy's and girl's go into the Christmas break with 5 and 0 final records. They are playing good basketball, 

After one  of the most successful seasons in program history. HutchCC football coach Drew Dallas was named the 2022 American Community College Football Coaches Association Coach of the Year. 

This is Dallas First AFC National Award and his second National Coaching Award in three seasons as the Blue Dragon head coach. Hutchinson's football team tied an all time record for NJCAA All-Americans with ten as that was released yesterday. Receiver Malik Benson became the first Blue Dragon ever to be a two time first team all-American. He was the only first team selection from this year's Blue Dragons squad. Quarterback Dylan Liabel, who was a 2021 honorable mention all-American, now joins Benson as just the fourth and fifth Blue Dragons to earn all-American honors in consecutive seasons. Running back Dylan Kedzior, offensive lineman J'onre Reed were named on the second team. Offensive lineman Desmond Schuster. Defensive lineman. Jarell Boykins. Junior defensive end Niko Taylor, linebacker Terry Kirksey, defensive back Jamal Morris and kicker Cole Seagraves were all honorable mentions. Speaking of Dylan Kedzior, he announced yesterday on Twitter that he is committed to the University of Buffalo to further his football career. He was the KJCCC Offensive Player of the Year this past season.

Wichita State junior infielder Brock Rodon named a third team preseason all-American by collegiate baseball yesterday. Shockers open the season February 17th at Long Beach State Basketball.

Johnson played perhaps his best all around game and helping K-State move to 10 and 1 and extend their best start to a season since the 2016-17 season. He had a game high in Points 23 and also 11 rebounds. The first Wildcat captured Big 12 Newcomer of the Week, twice in the same season since Dean Wade did it two times in the 2015 season. He turned out to be pretty good. 

Top 25&nbsp;AP basketball poll shows Kansas moves up to number four, Texas seven,&nbsp; Baylor is number twelve. TCU is number Twenty. 

Based on current standings, the Chiefs are in position to potentially host a divisional round game at field at Arrowhead. Tickets for the potential game go on sale tomorrow. Jackson County residents get the first crack at tickets with a pre-sale available from 8 a.m. until 9:30 am. Tickets for everyone else are available at 11 a.m.. Wednesday, December the 21st. 

One of the top  high school seniors in Kansas says he's going to Kansas. Eudora High's Jaden Hamm decommitted from Arkansas this weekend, shortly after making a visit to the Jayhawks. Hamm is a tight end, rated as the sixth best player in Kansas. Hamm is the second top ten player from the state to commit to CU Lawrence. Free state offensive lineman Calvin Clements recently changed his commitment from Baylor to KU as well. 

Kansas offensive coordinator Andy Cottle. Nikki confirmed Monday that he has agreed to a contract extension with KU. He agreed to a contract that extends his contract five years. That'll keep the talented coordinator under contract with KU through the 2027 season. Terms not disclosed. 

The news are on the heels of Lance Leipold agreeing to a new contract that keeps him in Lawrence through the 2029 season. Royals closing in on another veteran pitcher to add their young pitching corps. The second edition in a week right handed starting pitcher Jordan Lyles, who's 32 and the royals close to inking a two year deal that's according to MLB.com registered a 12 and 11 record with a 4.42 era with 144 strikeouts. Just 52 walks in, 32 starts. That's 179 innings for Baltimore last season. His 179 innings pitched surpassed Brady Singer's royals, leading total by more than 25 innings point. The Royals need some additional starting pitching.

HUTCHINSON, Kan.: <i>(Transcript)</i> 7:10am on BW Radio, time to turn to sports, Jerick&nbsp;McKinnon&nbsp;had a 26 yard touchdown run in overtime and the Chiefs got three touchdowns from Patrick Mahomes and a 32 to 24 win over Houston that clinches their seventh straight AFC West title. Their record now 11 and 3. 

Mahomes throws for 336 yards and touchdown passes of 20 and four yards. He has 35 TD passes this season to become the fifth player in NFL history with 35 or more touchdown tosses in four or more seasons. Joining Tom Brady, who's done it six times. Aaron Rodgers six times. Drew Brees and Peyton Manning  each have done it 5 times.

Kris Kleiman  didn't have to look far as K-State's newest incoming football transfer. Marquis Segal, a five foot 11 sophomore, defensive back from North Dakota State, announcing his intentions to transfer and continue his college career with the Wildcats, comes to K-State after recording 29 tackles and grabbing three interceptions during the past two seasons with the Bison. Played most of his time at corner will transfer to K-State and project as a safety. 

Argentina fans  around the world are likely still celebrating after star Lionel Messi led the national team to victory over France in what many are describing as the best World Cup final match ever played. Their record now 11 and 3. </p><p>Mahomes throws for 336 yards and touchdown passes of 20 and four yards. He has 35 TD passes this season to become the fifth player in NFL history with 35 or more touchdown tosses in four or more seasons. Joining Tom Brady, who's done it six times. Aaron Rodgers six times. Marquis Segal, a five foot 11 sophomore, defensive back from North Dakota State, announcing his intentions to transfer and continue his college career with the Wildcats, comes to K-State after recording 29 tackles and grabbing three interceptions during the past two seasons with the Bison. Played most of his time at corner will transfer to K-State and project as a safety. </p><p>Argentina fans  around the world are likely still celebrating after star Lionel Messi led the national team to victory over France in what many are describing as the best World Cup final match ever played. Here is  more from CBS Sports: "In the end, French fans who had gathered on a cold chandeliers had to accept it just wasn't their day."</p><p>"Yeah, of course we're a bit disappointed, but super proud of the group, really. 30  five year old Messi and 23 year old and Barbet are teammates at Paris Saint-Germain. But their showdown here was a dream for Qatar.
