
MANHATTAN, Kan. — Kansas State University starting quarterback Will Howard has decided to enter the transfer portal, the senior announced on Monday.
Howard will leave Manhattan as one of three quarterbacks to ever guide the Wildcats to a Big 12 championship, and as the all-time passing touchdown leader in program history. He finished this season 219-for-357 passing for 2,643 yards and 24 touchdowns to 10 interceptions.
Howard was not the only Wildcat to enter the transfer portal on Monday, highly-recruited backup quarterback Jake Rubley also announced he will depart Kansas State. Rubley saw limited playing time in just two games, completing the only pass he threw for five yards.
Treshaun Ward, a running back who transferred in from Florida State also announced his plan to leave the K-State program on Monday. He rushed for 643 yards on 124 carries in 11 games. Ward finished with five touchdowns, as well.
