HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Monarchs rallied on Saturday night to beat the Great Bend Bat Cats 6-5 at Hobart-Detter Field.
A crowd of 465 came out for Cancer Awareness Night and saw Cooper Harris drive in a run by being hit by a pitch in the bottom of the ninth to get Hutchinson the win.
Carter Young was the star at the plate for Hutchinson on Saturday, going 3 for 4, while Sterling Sutcliffe and Breck Nowik each had 2 RBI.
The Monarchs are now 9-2 and in first place in the Sunflower Collegiate League. They next play Monday against Great Bend at Eck Stadium in Wichita.
