HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A Hutchinson woman who was arrested for drug distribution in January is back in court Thursday afternoon for a preliminary hearing.
Forty-six-year-old Jennie Wallace is charged with possession of meth with intent to distribute and aggravated child endangerment. Wallace may face federal charges. Her arrest came after police searched her home and discovered five pounds of methamphetamine inside.
Wallace may also face federal charges stemming from a package that was intercepted by the U.S. Postal Service. That package was addressed to Wallace and came from North Las Vegas, Nevada. The package contained six pounds of methamphetamine. The package was intercepted in Wichita when authorities were alerted to it by a K-9 unit.
The hearing is set for 3:30 in front of Judge Daniel Gilligan.
