
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Cowley College and Trinity Valley had a track meet for a half, but the Tigers were too much for the Cardinals in the highest scoring contest in tournament history. The game was 77-70 at the break before Cowley really got separation en route to a 134-107 win.
Cowley had six players in double figures, led by Mikel Henderson's 33 points, Dalen Ridgnal had 24, Cevin Clark 21, Moun'tae Edmunson 17, Shemarri Allen 13 and Raishaun Brown 10 for the Tigers.
The Cardinals also had six in double digits, led by Trevon Fuller with 25, Tuongthach Gathek with 19, Deshawn Davis with 18, Darry More with 14, Jakevion Buckley with 12 and Sofara Rasas with 11.
Cowley's free throw shooting was stellar at 26 of 33. They also made 22 out of 48 threes. Cowley advances to face top seed Mineral Area on Thursday at 2 p.m.
