TOPEKA, Kan.—Due to COVID19 changes in the postseason structure have been made by the Executive Board. Sub-state assignments were released this week and are listed below.
Classes 1A-DI and 1A-D2 will be grouped geographically into groups of six or seven schools. Playing dates are February 25 and 26 for quarterfinal contests at the higher seed. Semi-finals and finals will be played at the primary site on March 4, 5, 6.
Classes 2A and 3A will be grouped geographically into groups of eight schools. Playing dates are March 1, 2, 4, 5, 6. Quarterfinal games will be played at the higher seeded team on March 1 and 2. Semi-finals and finals will be played at the primary site.
Classes 4A, 5A and 6A will be grouped geographically into groups of four or five schools. The groups that have 5 teams will play the #4 vs. #5 seed game on Saturday, February 27. Semi-final games will be played on Tuesday, March 2 and Wednesday, March 3 at the higher seeded team. Finals will be played on Friday, March 5 and Saturday, March 6.
State quarterfinal games will be played on Monday, March 8 and Tuesday, March 9 at school sites. Four teams will advance to the state sites.

Following are the sites, managers and assignments for girls and boys sub-state basketball tournaments. The Kansas State
High School Activities Association and its member schools sponsor these tournaments for the girls and boys in the state of
Kansas.
CLASS 1A - DIVISON I AND II TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Class 1A-DI will have 54 schools and Class 1A-DII will have 53 schools per class. These schools will conduct 8 sub-state
tournaments of six or seven schools. Grouping are based on a geographical basis after host sites are determined.
Seeding will be completed on Saturday, February 20 at 10:00 AM.
Brackets will be posted on the KSHSAA website after they are verified.
Groups will be numbered one through eight.
Thursday, February 25, Class 1A-DI and Class 1A-DII girls will play quarterfinal games at the higher seeded team.
Friday, February 26, Class 1A-DI and Class 1A-DII boys will play quarterfinal games at the higher seeded team.
Thursday, March 4, Class 1A-DI and Class 1A-DII girls will play semifinal contests at the sub-state host site.
