HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Chipola led less than three minutes of the entire game but the only thing that mattered of course was the last minute.
Chipola took the lead for good with less than two minutes to play and held off intrastate rival Indian River by a score of 78-75. The Indians led less than a minute in the first half and had to fight through some cold shooting.
Chipola was led by Jaeden Zachery with 24 points and Lance Irving with 14. Indian River was led by AJ Cajuste with 19 points. Leading scorer Linton Brown was held to just five points.
Chipola takes on Coffeyville in one of tomorrow's semi-finals.
