HUTCHINSON, Kan. —Odessa College won their first game of the tournament with the largest point deficit on day one. The No. 13 Odessa Wranglers beat the No. 20 seeded Trinidad State College Trojans 81-52.
Freshman guard Esyah Pipa-White and sophomore guard Brandon Maclin led Odessa in scoring with 13 points each. Freshman guard Amir Reaves led Trinidad with 10.
Odessa led 46-17 at halftime. scored 25 points off of turnovers, 44 in the paint and 11 off of fast breaks.
The Wranglers typically average 74 points a game.
