HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The active case count in Reno County is up to 353 as of Thursday afternoon. That is up 219 active cases since October 1.
229 of the current cases are in the community. 1543 people have tested positive overall, with 1181 recovered. Nine have died.
There were only four deaths total announced from the beginning of the pandemic to October 7 in Reno County. Five have been announced from October 8 to October 15.
There are eleven active clusters. 11,022 people have been tested, with 9,479 negatives for an overall positive test rate of 14% and a community positive test rate of 10.21%. 17.54% of the population has been tested.
There are 13 people currently in the hospital. 65 have been hospitalized throughout the pandemic in Reno County. 31 of those needed ICU care. Eight were intubated.
