KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As he prepares for his fourth year in Kansas City, Kardarius Toney's option for a fifth year under his rookie contract with the Kansas City Chiefs has been declined.

In 2024, Toney will earn a fully guaranteed $2.5 million salary for what could be his final season in Kansas City. If they bring him back after that, it will be for less money. Toney was originally the No. 20 pick in the 2021 draft year for the New York Giants.
