CONCORDIA, Kan. — Jacquez Yow played all of nine minutes in the first half and went 0 of 1 from the floor before getting into foul trouble.
Yow and Nate Goodlow collectively played 16 minutes and picked up four fouls. The starters average nearly 23 points together each night, but combined for 0-2 from the floor after 20 minutes.
Kobe Campbell provided a boost off the bench with eight of his 10 total points coming in the first half.
The Dragons started 1 of 14 from three before hitting three straight from distance to end the first half.
Angelo Stuart hit a pair and Aaron Franklin, who returned for the first time after missing four games with an injury, added a triple as well to put Hutchinson up 42-39 at halftime.
The halftime lead came after the Dragons trailed by as many as six.
Yow turned it on in the second half with 22 points. He only missed two shots during that stretch and gave the Dragons a big boost with a thunderous dunk and just his second triple of the year. Yow finished with a double-double as he added 10 rebounds.
Behind Yow and Stuart, Hutchinson went up nine with 2:17 left.
Kaimen Lennox added 15 points.
Hutchinson (8-0) outrebounded Cloud County (4-3) 50 to 36.
