
HUGOTON, Kan. — The McPherson Bullpup boys golf team claimed the class 4A regional at Forewinds Golf Course on Monday.
The Bullpups edged out Andale by seven strokes, to claim the win with a total of 340 strokes. Buhler finished in seventh place with a score of 390.
McPherson junior Blaise Hoover was in first a majority of the day, but finished with a second place finish with a 7-over par 79 round. Freshman Hudson Krehbiel finished with a round of 82, good enough for fifth place.
Junior Drew DeMeyer was the top Buhler finisher, as he carded a 92, which earned him a trip to the state tournament and a 13th place finish.
The class 4A state tournament will take place Monday, May 20 and Tuesday, May 21 at Turkey Creek Golf Course in McPherson.
