United Way of Reno County, Reno Connections and the Hutchinson Community Foundation are hosting an event that will help residents with saving money on electric bills this winter.
The free event is on Tuesday, Dec. 17 on the second floor of the Hutchinson Public Library and will go from 4 to 6 p.m.
There are several different resources that will be available, including the Hutchinson Fire Department providing winter fire safety tips, plus you can sign up for LIEAP Assistance (Low-Income Energy Assistance Program), get free warm clothing, complete an application for Project Deserve Assistance home improvements, free weatherization kits (while supplies last) and free smoke detector sign ups.
Individuals that attend are asked to bring their photo ID, proof of income and utility bills.
