HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Community College volleyball team picked up three victories on Monday night at the Blue Dragon triangular at the Sports Arena.

The Blue Dragons swept Neosho County 25-18, 25-18, 25-22. Hutchinson also defeated a pair of KCAC junior varsity teams, downing the Friends JV 25-16, 29-27, 25-18 and the McPherson College JV 25-20, 25-20, 21-25, 25-21.

Hutchinson improved to 17-17 overall and will return to Jayhawk Conference play on Wednesday against Butler at 6 p.m. at the Sports Arena. The Blue Dragons will play Seward County on Friday and Pratt on Saturday.

Redshirt freshman Tiana Simmons led the Blue Dragons against the Panthers with 12 kills and three blocks. Simmons also had seven digs.

Freshman Atlyn Proctor had eight kills and one block. Freshman Brooke Galey had seven kills, three blocks and seven digs.

Sophomore setter Shelbi Wilson finished with 33 assists to go with two kills, two blocks and an ace.

Freshman Ellie Suber finished with a team-high 11 digs and two ace serves against Neosho County.
