Posted Feb 10, 2021 4:10 AM

HUTCHINSON, Kan.—The Salthawk girls played very inspired basketball in the second half Tuesday night at the SAC vs Salina South.  Not so hot in the first half and like gang busters in the second half.  Gracie Keeler knocked down three 3pt shots in the 2nd half to lead Hutchinson to a 42-32 win plus the Salthawk defense turned it up to hold Salina South to only one 2pt basket in the 4th quarter.

In the Boys game, Hutchinson trailed 12-7 at the end of one quarter of play and only trailed by 4 at the half, but jumped on the back of Sr. Myles Thompson who had a monster game with 33 points before losing the the #1 team in 5A, 64-60.

Next action for the Salthawks is on the road on Friday at Arkansas City to take on the Bulldogs.

Salina travels to Derby for a date with the Panthers.
