Preseason Kansas Basketball Coaches Association has been announced. Numerous area teams are listed in the preseason rankings.
In girls ranking, Maize is ranked #4 in 5A, 4A girls includes #2 McPherson and #3 Nickerson. Clas 3A includes #1 Cheney and #2 Halstead while 3A girls has #1 Sterling in the top spot. Pretty Prairie is ranked #9 in 1A while #1 Central Plains and #7 Hutchinson Central Christian wraps up the rankings.
In boys ranking, in 5A Maize is ranked #4, #4 McPherson and #7 Buhler represent class 4A. #3 Cheney and #7 Haven are ranked in 3A. In 2A Sterling is ranked #3 while #9 Little River rounds out class 1A.
