Case count trending down in county as of Friday, 132 positive, 41 non-cluster related

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The active case count in Reno County is trending down as of Friday morning.

According to the county's dashboard, there are 132 cases of COVID-19 active in the county, with 406 recovered. One person has died from COVID-19 thus far.

Of those 132 cases, 81 are from the Hutchinson Correctional Facility, with 10 others from separate clusters. That means there are only 41 non-cluster related cases in the county as of late Thursday.

The overall positive test rate is down to 8.98%, but the community test rate, not including the prison, is up to 6.69%. 6,004 people have been tested with 5,465 negatives. 9.55% of the population has been tested.
