HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Community College women's basketball team moved up two spots to No. 2 in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association poll released on Monday.
The Blue Dragons are currently 19-0 overall and 13-0 in conference play.
Hutchinson defeated then-No. 12 Dodge City last Wednesday, 82-77 inside the Sports Arena to keep its unbeaten season alive. The Blue Dragons were off on Saturday with a bye, but will be back in action on Wednesday at Colby (6-13, 2-12). The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcasted on flagship station KHUT-FM (102.9), as well as KWBW-AM/FM (1450/98.5) with Sean Boston. The game will also be video streamed on the KJCCC Sports Network.
The 19-0 start is the sixth best start to a season in program history, five of which have come under head coach John Ontjes.
