HutchCC up 12 shots after 3 rounds at nationals

Lubbock, Texas — The Hutchinson Community College men’s golf team continues its NJCAA Men’s Division I National Championship lead. The lead after three rounds is 12 strokes over Odessa.

The Blue Dragons shot even par on Wednesday at The Rawls Course and are at 16-under 848 heading into the final round of the 2021 championship.

Hutchinson counted the scores of Harry Crockett (68), Ben Partridge (69), Charlie Crockett (75) and Cameron Rios-Ceballos (76) in the third round. Trey McCrae shot a 5-over 77 on Wednesday.

Harry Crockett and Partridge remain the top two individual golfers through 54 holes. Rios-Ceballos is tied for 21st and all five Hutchinson players are no worse than a 34th-place tie.

Harry Crockett leads the championship with a 11-under 205. Partridge is two shots back.

The Blue Dragons are once again slated to be paired with Odessa and Midland and will tee off for Thursday's final round from 1:30 to 2:10 p.m.
