
VERMILLION, S.D. — Former Buhler High School grad, Brendan Webb was named to the first team of the Missouri Valley Football Conference all-conference football team on Monday.
Webb has had a stellar senior year for the Coyotes in Vermillion, South Dakota. He has helped anchor the defensive line and leads the Coyotes with 10.5 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks. South Dakota (9-2, 7-1 MVFC) will host Sacramento State in the first round of the FCS Playoffs on Saturday afternoon in Vermillion.
The 6-foot-4 260-pound senior graduated from Buhler in 2018 and helped lead the Crusaders to the 2016 4A state title. Webb was an all-state performer and three-time all-AVCTL selection in football. He also participated in basketball, wrestling and track & field. Webb qualified for state in the triple jump, shot put and 400-meter relay as a senior.
Webbs teammate, Travis Theis, who is a Pratt High School graduate earned second team honors on the MVFC team at the fullback position.
Former Hoisington standout, Wyatt Pedigo, who plays at North Dakota earned second team honors at linebacker.
