HUTCHINSON, Kan. - The Hutchinson Monarchs (14-4) got superb pitching from starter Liam Eddy plus another big fourth inning at the plate to complete the 4 game series with the Derby Twins for a 10-1 victory at Hobart-Detter field on Wednesday night.

Eddy was outstanding as he went 5 innings only giving up 1 hit, no runs while striking out 4 Twins batters.

The Monarchs sent nine players to the plate in the fourth inning to come away with 6 runs on 6 hits and a Derby error.  The Monarchs pounded out 15 hits for the game with Dylan Nedved, Garrett Stephens, Clayton Chadwick and Drew Reetz having multiple hits for the game. Nedved was 3 for 4 with 1 RBI.

The Monarchs will have an off day on Thursday before opening up a four game series with the Great Bend Bat Cats on the road in Great Bend Friday.

Hutchinson will return home Saturday for game two of the series.  That game will be video streamed on Hutchpost.com.
