On Saturday, Kansas and Kansas State will honor two former players who broke the color barrier at each institution in 1951-52 – LaVannes Squires of Kansas and Gene Wilson of Kansas State.
Kansas leads the overall series with Kansas State, 201-94, and has won five straight and 13 of the last 14 matchups. The last win by K-State in the series came in a 74-67 victory at home on Feb. 5, 2019.
