HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The City of Hutchinson is employing a consultant for the short term to get some planning and zoning work done. That person was introduced to the City Council on Tuesday by interim planning and development director Jim Seitnater.
"I'm happy to introduce you Matt Williams, AICP," Seitnater said. "Matt is with Professional Engineering Consultants from Wichita. He's the newest member to our planning team. Working with PEC, we contracted July 19th as a possible model for a way to handle professional planning issues, the lack of staff. We've had a tremendous amount of turnover over the past 10 years and so, we're hoping that through this span of time, we will gain some valuable information, some evaluation of the right sizing of the planning staff."
According to his LinkedIn profile, Williams was a Senior Planner with the City of Wichita prior to joining PEC in May.
