Cowley and Coffeyville both won their semifinal games in the 2021 NJCAA Men's National Championship Tournament. They will face each other in the title game at 6pm on Saturday. Tickets are sold out for the event.
The only time teams from the same state have met in the Championship was 68 years ago in 1953 when El Dorado Junior College defeated Arkansas City Junior College 80-64.
Cowley was never behind in their matchup with Ranger TX, and went on to win 116-97. Coffeyville beat Chipola FL 66-63 in a tight thriller of a nightcap.
