HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County Dashboard is updated.
"As the pandemic has moved on, we've also looked at how we need to expand our data operation and the information we're releasing to the public," said D.J. Gering, public health analyst for the Reno County Health Department. "The new dashboard allows us the space to do that."
There is a key statistic parents and educators will want to watch that is clear on the new site, the 14 day positive test rate and the 14 day case count.
"They are currently available on the dashboard," Gering said. "They are updated every day, the 14 day positive test rate and the 14 day case total. Then, every Friday the gating criteria will change colors or stay the same based on that data."
As of 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, the school gating criteria button on the new dashboard at the top of the page still reflected October 3 statistics. That information will likely be updated once schools are notified on Fridays. The 14-day data to which Gering was referring is found in charts on the lower half of that same page if you scroll down, but the latest data point there was still October 3.
