Case count at 546 as of Wednesday afternoon, 16 hospitalized

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The COVID-19 active case count in Reno County is at 546 as of Wednesday afternoon. There are 218 community cases.

The number hospitalized is at 16. Eighty-two people have spent time in the hospital since the beginning of the pandemic. Thirty-five have been admitted to the ICU and 11 have been intubated. Thirteen Reno County residents have died.

The community positive test rate is up to 10.90%, with an overall positive test rate of 16.17%.

This week, schools in Reno County remain in the red in the gating criteria.
