ANDOVER, Kan. — The Andover Trojans (3-2) were not intimidated by the Hutchinson Salthawk's blemish free record as Andover upset the undefeated Salthawks 14-7 at Andover's Trojan Stadium Friday night in Andover.

Statistically Hutchinson was led again by senior fullback Alec McCuan who had 117 yards on 21 carries.  The lone touchdown for the Salthawks was a 58 year bomb from Myles Thompson to Noah Khokhar to give Hutchinson the lead just before halftime at the 11 second mark of the 2nd quarter.  Khohkar finished the night with 3 catches totaling 91 yards and the lone TD.  Thompson was 5 for 12 with 1 TD and 1 interception.

Max Middleton led Andover with 97 yards on 29 carries and a touchdown.  He scored the go ahead TD in the 4th period with 3:59 to go on a 9 yard run.

Hutchinson made it interesting by driving deep into Andover territory but penalties plagued the Salthawks and they were denied the endzone by the Andover defense.

Kinser Newquist led Hutchinson with 11 tackels with 10 being unassisted.  Jack Hawver had 10 tackles with 8 being unassisted.

Next action for the 4-1 Salthawks is on the road next Friday as Hutch travels to Salina to take on the Cougars of Salina South.
