HUTCHINSON, Kan.—Both the Hutch High Baseball and Softball opened the 2021 Spring seasons with big wins over Wichita South on Monday night.
Hutch High Softball won game 1 over the Titans 15-0, then took game 2 12-2.
Hutch High Baseball won game 1 of the doubleheader with a 17-2 run rule in 3 innings. Bennett Turner pitched the win with Nolan Cunningham coming on in relief.
In game 2 Hutch High scored 8 runs in the third inning all with 2 outs to coast to a 11-1 run rule win in 5 innings. Kanon Krol earned the win with Bobbie Garland coming on in relief. Myles Thompson doubled to score Kinser Newquest for the win in game 2.
