HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County Treasurer Brenda Kowitz reminds readers that the second half of property taxes are due May 10.
The treasurer's office mails out tax statements to the owner of record on or after the first of November of each year and is responsible for collecting the taxes due, including any special assessments and fees.
If not paid by the due dates, a variable interest penalty will accrue until paid.
Also, please make sure that there is a good phone number on your check.
