HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The National Alliance on Mental Illness is holding a Peer-to-Peer Education Program at the Mary Magdalene House at 7201 East 4th on Mondays at 5:30 p.m. starting July 11.

"This one is about teaching someone with mental illness how to live with their mental illness," said Annette VanBruggen with the Mary Magdalene House. "Talking about what the medications are, what day to day life is, what's happening chemically in their brain. It's a great educational system for them. We are excited to have them in to teach. It's an eight-week course, so it's kind of a commitment, but we will have you in every evening."

NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a safe, confidential space. The course provides an opportunity for mutual support and growth. Experience compassion and understanding from people who relate to your experiences. This is a place to learn more about recovery in an accepting environment. To register for this class, please complete the registration form.
