HUTCHINSON, Kan.—Five more teams joined Roane State to punched their tickets to this years NJCAA Men's D1 National Tournament to be held in Hutchinson March 14-19.
John A. Logan (29-3) out of Region 24 in Illinois defeated Shawnee 90-78 to qualify. Shawnee had defeated Vincennes University in the quarter finals 65-55. Vincennes suffered through their worst season in 68 years to finish at 12-19.
Shelton State out of the South District and Region 22 defeated Wallace State 89-67. Shelton State is 29-4 and is located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Caldwell Tech (25-7) out of Region 10 defeated USC Salkahatchie 68-66 to punch their ticket to the dance.
Harcum, Pennsylvania (30-2) defeated Hagerstown 79-64 in Region 19.
South Georgia Tech, Georgia (22-11) defeated Georgia Highland 87-84 to represent Region 17.
Six Women's D1 Teams have qualified for the NJCAA Women's D1 Championship that will be played in Lubbock, Texas March 16-21.
Those teams are Walters State (19-6) out of Tennessee, Wabash Valley, Illinois (28-1), Monroe College, NY (14-14), College of Southern Idaho (30-2), Shelton State, Alabama (29-1) and Arizona Western (29-2)
