HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The case count number in Reno County has bounced back up as of Wednesday afternoon due to another spate of cases in the Hutchinson Correctional Facility.
According to the county dashboard, the HCF case count went from one earlier this week back to 38 on Wednesday. There are now 98 overall cases in the county. 888 people have tested positive since the beginning of the pandemic, 787 have recovered. Three have died.
The community positive test rate is at 7.03%, with the overall positive test rate bouncing back up to 11.11% thanks to the new prison cases. 12.72% of the population has been tested. That equates to 7,995 tests administered thus far.
