Haven USD 312 has earned two honors through the Kansans Can Star Recognition Program, highlighting the district’s commitment to helping students succeed from their earliest years through graduation.

The district received a Bronze Star in Kindergarten Readiness and a Copper Star in Individual Plans of Study (IPS) — two areas that reflect both early learning and long-term student development.

The Kindergarten Readiness recognition celebrates the success of the district’s Little Learners program, which focuses on preparing children well before their first day of school. By developing social, emotional, and academic skills early, the program ensures students enter kindergarten ready to learn and thrive.

The Individual Plans of Study award recognizes how USD 312 helps students chart their own paths from middle school through high school. Through goal-setting, career exploration, and personalized academic planning, students prepare for a range of futures — whether in college, a chosen career, or military service.

District leaders said the recognition reflects the dedication of both staff and students in building a strong learning culture across all grade levels.

“We’re proud of this recognition and even more proud of the work happening every day in USD 312,” the district shared in a statement.
