HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Triton College defeated Kilgore College (TX) 76-65 Thursday night at the Sports Arena.
The second half told the tale, as the Trojans led by just two at the break, 31-29, before switching to a to a 1-3-1 zone after halftime and going on a 25-8 run that gave them the cushion they needed.
The Trojans were led by Cobie Montgomery's 18 points. JJ Kalakon and Brandon Muntu both added 16 and Cam Denson had 12.
Kilgore was led by DaVeon Thomas with 26 points, Dantwan Grimes had 10 in the loss.
Triton, now 30-5, will play Northwest Florida State in a 7 p.m. semifinal Friday in Hutchinson.
