CRAWFORD COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a hit and run accident and asking the public for help to locate a vehicle.

The crash occurred just after 10p.m. Sept. 9 on South 220th Street and east 510 Avenue in rural Crawford County, according to a media release from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The suspect vehicle is a 2016-18 white Chevy pickup, possibly a 4-door. The pickup has damage to the passenger side rear quarter panel and is missing the passenger side tail lamp.

The pickup was eastbound on 510 Avenue.  A northbound 2009 Honda motorcycle driven by Roberts, Travis D. Roberts, 43, Pittsburg, collided with the passenger rear of the pickup.  The pickup then left the scene. EMS transported Roberts to Via Christi for treatment of serious injuries, according to the KHP.  The KHP did not have an update on his condition Thursday.

Anyone with information on vehicle is asked to contact the Kansas Highway Patrol.
