The Derby Panthers flexed their muscles in the 2nd game of the Tuesday double-header at Hobart-Detter stadium by pounding the Hutchinson Salthawks 12-2 in five innings.  Derby produced 4 runs on 3 home runs in the late contest running through 5 Salthawk pitchers.

In the first game, Derby won 4-1 in what Hutch High head coach Jim Preston felt was one of the better showings for the Salthawks this season.  Carter Booe threw for 7 innings giving up 4 runs on 5 hits. Derby produced 2 insurance runs in the 5th inning to seal the win.

Next action for the Salthawks will be in Maize on Friday with a double header at 4pm and 6pm.
