INMAN, Kan. — A Hutchinson man was killed after his Honda Accord hydroplaned and struck a bridge pillar on K-61 near Inman Tuesday afternoon.

According to McPherson County Sheriff Jerry Montagne, deputies were dispatched just after 4 p.m. Tuesday to the scene where the 8th Avenue bridge goes over the highway.&nbsp;

Inman Fire and McPherson EMS rendered life saving measures but despite those efforts, 27-year-old Andrew A. Tolbert was pronounced dead just before 4:30 p.m.&nbsp;

The McPherson County Sheriff’s Office would like to offer their condolences to the family.
