Prison down to just one case of COVID-19 as of Monday

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The COVID-19 outbreak at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility appears to be under control.

According to the latest information from the Reno County dashboard at the end of the day Monday, just one case remains connected to the prison and one connected to Hutchinson Community College.

The overall case count for the county is down to 61, from over 100 over the weekend.

Of the 841 cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, 777 have recovered. Three have died.

7,762 total tests have been administered, with 6,921 negative for a positive test rate of 10.83% overall, but just 7.14% in the community. 12.35% of the population has been tested.

The dashboard notes just two hospitalizations.
